LADY M.

About the film

Nina Vangeli in a fictitious documentary “Lady M”, thinks on the themes of violence and power, pretend violence, and violence in play. Even so, it utilizes stylization to one of the few female roles which depict this archaic story of power. Through Shakespear’s hero, they take us through a deeply personal interpretation of beauty and joy which displays the play principle of violence. The all-female cast lays open questions of the gendered nature of violence in contrast with the common depiction of consumed violence in media.
